Zeal Roland wants to be a stunt player, and she'll do anything to achieve her dream. That includes taking a crash course in the martial arts. But the moment Zeal steps into Karate Hollywood, Tadashi Ono's dojo, the stakes are forever raised. Because Zeal can't help falling for the "yin-yang poster boy," and that means stepping into his world—a world as secretive, dark and dangerous as Ono's eyes—the world of the ninja.

Circumstances force Zeal and Tadashi to part. Fortunately, Zeal lands a stunt-player gig in Las Vegas, where she's thrown together with famed magician Mack Villegreen. He pays her way more attention than Zeal believes she merits, and she's got to wonder why? Her question will be answered, but not before any number of turbulent and life-threatening events, which shake her world but keep her mind—at least a little—off of the ninja.

Zeal moves to Telluride, Colorado, where she's terrified to learn her latest stunt-player gig involves riding horseback. Luckily, the ninja shows up to coach her. Or has he been sent to help keep her alive? It's true she's on the hunt to find a killer; still, she resents the ninja butting in, especially since he's done his best to dump her. Besides, Zeal's pretty sure she knows the killer's identity. Of course, she might be wrong—in more ways than one.

On the night of April 5, 1944, a near-to-full moon hanging in the mist-laden sky, Captain Robert Glenn Bailey successfully ditched a B-24J bomber in the Bay of Bengal. He was my dad. This book honors him and his valiant crew, as well as shedding light on the, oft considered "forgotten," CBI theater of WWII. It is a personal glimpse into the lives of young men living very far from home and how they coped—not only with the vast, geographical distance that separated them from loved ones and the familiar, but also with the harsh realities and deprivations wrought by war.
